Accommodation Tax Advisory Committee

Purpose

Evaluate applications for Accommodations Tax Funds and submit recommendations to Council for the use of the funds. The funds must be used for tourism and tourism related purposes. This committee meets once a year (June/July) in the Executive Room at the R. Carlisle Roddey Government Building.
Membership Criteria

The advisory committee consists of seven members with a majority being selected from the hospitality industry of the municipality or county receiving the revenue. At least two of the hospitality industry members must be from the lodging industry where applicable. One member shall represent the cultural organizations of the county. SC Code § 6-4-25.
