  • Purpose

    Mediate disputes between the County Assessor and a property tax payer. Meets when citizens appeal property tax.

  • Membership Criteria

    The Board shall consist of 7 members appointed by County Council for a term of 4 years commencing on January 1 in the year of appointment. One member shall be appointed from, and be a resident of each of the 6 council districts and the seventh member shall be appointed at large by majority vote of council. (Chester County Code 3-514) Board members shall serve at the will and pleasure of Council and terms shall run concurrent with that of the appointer.
