Chester County's parade season begins in January with a significant event: the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade. This special parade is a cornerstone of a weekend-long celebration honoring the life and legacy of the revered civil rights leader. Chester County kicks off the Christmas season with a series of festive parades! The first, usually around Thanksgiving, is held in Great Falls. Parades then follow in Fort Lawn, Richburg, and Chester. The holiday season concludes with the charming Old Fashioned Christmas Parade in Lowrys, featuring horses and antique farm tractors.
