Chester County Clerk of Court’s office is now open to the public. However, we do encourage wearing masks, social distancing and hand sanitizing.
If you need a deed or plat, you may use uslandrecords.com or come into our office for assistance. We will file recordings in person, by mail and/or through e-filing. If mailing in or dropping off filings, they must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
We continue to accept payments for General Sessions fines and fees. If paying in person, we ask that you have correct change or a money order for the correct amount. If you choose to mail in your payment for fines and fees, send a money order for the correct amount to Clerk of Court/General Sessions, PO Drawer 580, Chester, SC 29706.
This office maintains court records, handles reporting requirements, receives and disburses fines and fees. Our mission is to accomplish all of these tasks in an optimal efficient manner, and to provide a friendly and helpful atmosphere for all visitors.
